I Become Friendly Mac Guy

I walked into It’s a Grind on the Beltline today, and saw a guy with an iBook SE Graphite edition, just like I owned a year or so ago. I was filled with nostalgia and swooped in and babbled about what a cool machine it was, in all ways except the small screen, and how I really liked the one I had, yadda yadda. He didn’t seem to mind.

I couldn’t help myself. For a moment I was Friendly Mac Guy.

  1. Hi, I wrote the NYT story in Festivus and am now working on a book version for Warner Books 2005. I’m writing because I see you read Stolen Lightning and are Festivus-friendly. On the wikipedia festivus entry, it mentions that Daniel OKeefe mentioned Festivus in Stolen Lightning. Problem it’s not in the index and the book is very long and dense. Do you have any memory of a mention of Festivus in the book? Wikepedia could be wrong, just taking something I wrote in my story and stretching it. Can you help? If it IS mentioned in Stolen Lightnng I wan to put it in my book, but my deadline is so tight, I do not have the time to read every word…

    thanks
