Blackwater license being revoked in Iraq – Yahoo! News:

“We have canceled the license of Blackwater and prevented them from working all over Iraqi territory. We will also refer those involved to Iraqi judicial authorities,” Khalaf said.

I wonder if Bush will find a way to make sure Blackwater gets back in. If? Maybe “how long it will be” instead.

  1. Bearing in mind that Iraq is supposed to be a sovereign state, it’s not as if Bush can just overrule them without having it look bad.

Of course, the administration may be able to strong arm them into reversing that, but I wonder if that would be politically possible for al-Maliki? If pushing Blackwater out will give him a boost (as the article claims), reversing the decision would make him look like a US lackey.
