  1. I’m a Kucinich man myself but Kucinich and Gravel have nigh identical positions, so I agree with you there.

  2. I had never heard of Ron Paul until this post. :) As such, my reaction was more “Oh yeah? Interesting”

  3. I won’t be voting for Ron Paul (I also prefer Kucinich, and if I have to, I’ll grit my teeth and vote Hillary in the general election).

That said, those 10 things apply to all of the Republican candidates, so if you add in his views on the war, Ron Paul is “only” a 75 on the evil index, as opposed to the 100 for all of the other elephants. And he’s not crazy, like Giuliani, so he has that going for him.

  4. He’s not crazy like Giuliani. He’s crazy like Ron Paul. And possibly a fox. :)

I don’t know, man. I can’t honestly say that the insanely reactionary (but war-free) libertarian paradise of Ron Paul would be that much of an improvement over the fascist dictatorship of a Giuliani. They’d be very, very different, but I have a hard time saying which would be more evil.

Most of the countries which are Libertarian paradises (no inconvenient laws restricting rich people from doing whatever the hell they want with their money) are third world nations, and I don’t think that is a coincidence.

  5. Wow. I’m surprised that Topher managed to remain unaware of Ron Paul. Clearly I need to spend less time looking at Reddit/Digg. Both of those appear to have gone to an “all Ron Paul, all the time” format during the last couple months.

Slashdot appears to be Ron Paul free.
