And of course just today my employers got their own gmail domain, so I couldn’t easily be logged in to my own gmail and that at the same time anyway. :)

There’s a firefox extension that lets you be logged into gmail under several different usernames at the same time. I don’t remember it’s name though. :( I just read about it the other day, it looks quite cool.
Tentatively it looks like the two logins don’t interfere with each other because one is under a different domain — so the cookies don’t count as “the same.”
You can be logged into multiple ‘Gmail for Domains’ accounts in Firefox without any issues. No pluggins required.
