  1. 2.61 here in the big city of San Francisco.
    -and yet-
    folks are still buy SUVs without a care in the world. If you ask me, the price hasn’t shot up enough yet. Once the gas prices effect the car buying choices… we will have reached a better equalibrium. In the meantime, this totally sucks for lower income folks who have to drive beaters.

  2. From what I’ve read, in “real prices” gas is still cheaper than it was 20 years ago.

    At least we have the comfort in knowing that the drilling in ANWR should be able to knock a cent or two off the price for a couple of years.
