I Become Friendly Mac Guy

I walked into It’s a Grind on the Beltline today, and saw a guy with an iBook SE Graphite edition, just like I owned a year or so ago. I was filled with nostalgia and swooped in and babbled about what a cool machine it was, in all ways except the small screen, and how I really liked the one I had, yadda yadda. He didn’t seem to mind.

I couldn’t help myself. For a moment I was Friendly Mac Guy.

Filesharing Corporation Evil

Zeropaid.com – Kazaa Logging all user downloads

Kazaa tracking, logging, spying on users, then denying it all, secret documents reveal. In other news, sky blue, Pope Catholic, bears shit in woods.

Shocked users learn not to trust corporations trying to turn filesharing into a profitmaking venture, and flee to truly anonymous, non-corporate, decentralized networks like MUTE, GNUNet, Freenet Project.

No, not really. People never seem to learn.

Dance Commander

“Things you can see that you can’t unsee” dept…

A little Quicktime music video levity for y’all. Dance Commander by Electric Six, video by the unstoppable Ruben Fleischer.

Honestly great tune, and a video that will sear itself into your retinas and never leave.

Speaking of which, I can not stop watching Paperback Believer, a video/music Beatles/Monkees mashup (via boingboing.) I don’t know what it is but I keep going back to it like the Biblical dog to his vomit.
